In Irshansk, near the House of Culture, the atmosphere was bustling and lively that day—children, parents, volunteers, and organizers had gathered here for the annual “Rainbow” festival. As is tradition, the event brought together participants from various communities across the Zhytomyr region.  In the morning, volunteers and organizers were hard at work at the venue: welcoming guests, helping with seating and registration, and handing out badges and gift bags. The area was decorated with themed banners and balloons, and a photo zone was set up. The festival began with the performance of the Ukrainian national anthem and a moment of silence to honor the memory of fallen Ukrainian soldiers. This was followed by a concert program featuring children from schools and orphanages across the region. Participants presented vocal, dance, and theatrical performances. At the same time, creative and entertainment areas were active on the grounds. For children, workshops on drawing, sculpting, and decorative arts were organized, along with sports games and rest areas. Participants had the opportunity to socialize, get to know one another, and take part in group activities. The event was organized by the public organization “Irshanskyi Aktiv.” The festival took place with the support of local residents and businesses, who contributed to the fundraising effort.Throughout the day, a refreshment area was also available for participants, offering hot drinks, sweets, and lunch. The festival concluded with the presentation of gifts, certificates, and letters of appreciation. The organizers note that such events promote social interaction among children and the development of an inclusive environment in the community. Snezhana Gusakivska
